FOUNDATIONS
The Academy is organised into departments, each of which is divided into sections. The curriculum follows the same pattern of development in each section.
ANCHORING
The foundation of the Academy is the Artistic Initiation Section Music-Movement-Poetry (MMP), which is divided into three levels: Signs in Music (SEM), Awakening in Movement (EVM) and finally Artistic Initiation Music-Movement-Poetry (MMP). It is the nursery of our young budding artists.
IMMERSION
Our immersive training methods allow students to experiment and explore possible transdisciplinary links and exchanges between different artistic disciplines. The course of study chosen is, of course, essential to the student's experience and feelings.
TEACHING STRUCTURE
Four courses of study are available: the Basic Curriculum (CUSI), the Artistic Education Curriculum (EDAR), the Artistic Studies Curriculum (ARET) and the Academic Curriculum (AIDA). The study of theory and specific techniques related to the chosen discipline is compulsory in all courses.
There are three cycles of continuous progress and one cycle of stabilisation and improvement. They are divided into levels of two to three years.
Within these levels, flexibility allows students to prepare individually for the requirements of the chosen course, according to their learning pace and assimilation capacity.
The study of theory and specific techniques related to the chosen department is compulsory in all courses; the number of hours allocated to these courses may vary according to the course.
ACADEMIC CERTIFICATE: in AIDA course only
The Academic Certificate demonstrates a high level of practice and artistic expression. The aim is to enable the student to enter directly into pre-professional or even professional classes of other artistic institutions at national and international level. The flexible duration, from one to a maximum of three years, allows students to improve their skills, but also to take advantage of the educational and artistic activities organised by the Academy and its partners to complete their journey.
Scholarships, managed by the academy and its partners, can partially meet the needs of students.
CUSI: a simple course
The simple course allows the student to discover and approach the artistic world of the Academy. Involvement in the life of the institution is low, but this allows for a gentle approach. The study of the dominant discipline is organised in a flexible cycle, with progression depending on participation and the results of continuous assessment. Transdisciplinarity is introduced through occasional participation in placements and workshops organised during the academic year. Theoretical concepts are covered in the main course and through compulsory complementary workshops and courses.
Accessible from 18 months
a dominant discipline
EDAR: artistic education
This course allows each student to find his or her own way by participating according to his or her abilities. The founding idea of transdisciplinarity is necessarily respected. Studies in the dominant discipline are organised in a flexible cycle, with progression to the next level depending on participation and the results of continuous assessment. The value units (UV) for transdisciplinarity are obtained through sessions in the form of compulsory courses and workshops.
Accessible from 3 years old
three weekly classes:
a dominant discipline
a theoretical course
a complementary course
AIDA: academic curriculum - individualization and increased transdisciplinarity
The AIDA course is specific and individualised teaching in a dominant branch, with an emphasis on transdisciplinarity.
It is accessible from primary school. However, parents who wish to give their child(ren) the opportunity to enter earlier can request this.
For pre-professional and professional preparation, the AIDA management and the teacher of the dominant branch can offer parents whose children are highly motivated the choice of two dominant branches and a third secondary branch.
Accessible from 9 years old
four to five weekly classes:
a dominant discipline
a secondary discipline
a theoretical course
two complementary courses
ARET: art and studies - preparation for entry into Art and Studies - DFJC
The student enrolled in this course wishes to be able to access later, according to the rules established by the cantonal authorities, the status of Art and Studies (according to the guidelines of the General Directorate of Post-Compulsory Education).
AIDA is committed to preparing an individualised curriculum. This will enable the student to be prepared in the best possible way in order to be able to request a change in the normal school timetable at a later date. In return, the student must provide regular work of at least seven to ten hours per week, including lessons and rehearsals for the chosen field.
Careful supervision by the professor in charge of training in the dominant discipline and very close pedagogical monitoring by the Academy's management are guaranteed. In return, AIDA requires an increased availability of legal representatives.
Accessible from the age of 9
seven to ten hours a week
